Matthew J. Major joined the public accounting firm, Smith, Carney & Co., P.C., in 2007 after graduating from New York University with his LLM. (Master of Laws in Taxation) Prior to that Matt graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York in 1997 with BS in Business with a specialty in accounting. Matt has been a CPA since 2001 and received his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2006. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Accountancy Board, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Matt specializes in tax and estate planning for small/nonpublic businesses.

Matt is also a member of the Oklahoma City Downtown Rotary Club, a Former Director with the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council, and was a two time NCAA Div III AllAmerican in golf at Skidmore College.
